JEE Main Result 2020 Check Online @ official Portal
The National Testing Agency or NTA, national level examination conducting agency working under the supervision of Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), has released the JEE Main result 2020 today. Press Trust of India reported that nine candidates scored perfect 100 in JEE Main examination. The JEE Main examination was held in various shifts from January 6 to January 9 in various centres across India. According to the data released by the Agency, more than 11 lakh candidates had registered for this entrance exam which is also a screaning test for IIT entrance examination (also known as JEE Advanced). According to the results announced on Friday (January 17) of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main by the National Examination Agency of the Ministry of Human Resources, nine students have received 100 percentile.
Nishant Aggarwal from Delhi, Nisarg Chadha from Gujarat, Divyanshu Agarwal from Haryana, Jitendra and Tathavarti Vishnu Sri Sai Shankar from Rajasthan, Akhil Jain and Parth Dwivedi from Rajasthan and Rongla Arun Siddharth of Telangana and Chagri Kaushal Kumar Reddy.
The senior official said that 8.69 lakh students had appeared for the examination, of which 6.04 lakh were men, 2.64 lakh were women and three were transgender participants. The examination was conducted in three shifts between 7 and 9 January.
It is noteworthy that JEE Main Examination is conducted for admission in engineering colleges across the country, while students seeking admission in IITs have to pass JEE Advanced Examination. Passing the JEE Main Exam is necessary to take the JEE Advanced exam.
