Mega recruitment drive: Govt to hire over 54,000 jawans in Central Armed Police Force. Total 54,953 vacancies advertised by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), the maximum are for the country's largest paramilitary force-- the CRPF at 21,566 posts.  



In one of the largest recruitment drives in central security forces, the federal government has made a decision to recruit over 54,000 jawans in armed police forces just like the CRPF, BSF and ITBP amongst others this year.

Out from the total 54,953 vacancies advertised by the Personnel Selection Commission (SSC), the utmost are for the country's most significant paramilitary force-- the CRPF at 21,566 posts.


A complete of 47,307 vacancies are for men and 7,646 are for ladies in the constable (general duty) cadre in the Central Reserve POLICE (CRPF), Border Security Pressure (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Law enforcement (ITBP), Central Industrial Security Push (CISF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles (posts to be called Rifleman), National Investigation Company and the Secretariat Security Power.

"The central forces, called the central armed police forces (CAPFs) and central police organizations (CPOs), are set for additional expansion by raising of fresh battalions and therefore these new vacancies have already been advertised by the federal government after sanction from the Union residential ministry," a senior recognized said.

Applicants in the age band of 18-23 years and who've completed class 10 successfully, with a couple of exceptions and reservations, can make an application for these posts.

The salary offered, according to the SSC advertisement, is in the matrix of Rs 21,700-69,100.
